Isabel Violeta Cuenca

Isabel Violeta Cuenca Barahona, 87 years old, sadly left us on April 16th, 2024 of natural causes. She was a former longtime resident of Elmhurst, Queens. Isabel was born on November 5th, 1936 in Guayaquil-Ecuador to the late Juan E. Cuenca Gonzalez and Isabel M. Barahona Rodriguez. At 32 years old she immigrated to NY with her daughters. She worked in the Garment District as a Pattern Maker for over 30 years until retirement. Isabel was a devout parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church. 

Isabel is survived by her three daughters, Isabel "Chabela" Ronquillo, Patricia Rodriguez (Edgar), and Paola Velez (Aristedes). She was a proud grandmother of Eliana Rodriguez, Kristina Rodriguez, Ryan Velez, Daniella Rodriguez and Aristedes Velez (Brooke); and great grandmother of Hayden and Lilliana . She is predeceased by her siblings Carlos Cuenca, Juan Cuenca, Roberto Cuenca, and Maria Cuenca; leaving behind her youngest sister Mariana Medina.
