Ortolano- Anna, 89, of Malverne on January 20, 2019 surrounded by her family. Anna was born in Brooklyn, daughter of Anna Sadowski and Stanislaw Basta. Beloved mother of Valerie and Ann (James F. Krebs). Loving grandmother of Clif, Dusty, Danielle, and Alex. Cherished sister of Florence. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ann also predeceased ten dear siblings. During her career, Anna worked as an actuarial technician. She enjoyed watching tennis, golf, dance, and voice competitions on TV, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family will receive friends and family Saturday & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, Inc. 34 Hempstead Ave (corner Peninsula Blvd) Lynbrook. Funeral Mass Monday, January 28 at 9:45 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Malverne. Anna will be laid to rest at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Flushing next to her beloved mother following her Funeral Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
