Edward J Carey Jr.

Edward J. Carey Jr., age 75, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019. He was born on October 10th, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Ann Carey. He was a graduate of East Rockaway High School, class of 1961.  Edward joined the Sheet Metal Workers Local 28 and shorty after he was drafted into the United States Army.  Edward proudly served his Country in Vietnam from 1968 - 1969, as a Scout Dog Handler.  
Edward married Catherine Von Urff on May 11, 1974.  They just celebrated their 45th anniversary.  They have three beautiful children. Michele, Edward and Maureen who he was so very proud of. His two son in laws, Michael J. Murtha Jr. and Edward Melo whom he adored and 7 amazing grandchildren: Connor, Emily, Ryan, Ella, Madison, Jack and Charlotte.  
Edward will be greatly missed by family and friends.
