Loretta passed peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Edward John and sons Thomas, Terence, Edward Hampton and Timothy; daughter Mary Kay McHale and nine grandchildren. Loretta was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Rego Park, New York. She is a graduate of Resurrection Ascension, The Mary Louis Academy and St. John’s University where she actively participated as an acting member of the Alumnae Association and co-founder the St. John’s Charity Fashion Show.
A long time resident of Malverne and Point Lookout, Loretta was also active as a parishioner at both Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Rosary Altar Society and numerous school and church related functions. Loretta was an avid solver of the New York Times Crossword puzzle and loved playing cards and travelling with her friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
