Antoinette Nicosia (nee DeLuca) was born on January 12, 1931 to Elizabeth and Joseph DeLuca in Brooklyn New York. She passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023 surrounded by loving family at the age of 92. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn, but relocated to Valley Stream, Long Island with her husband, Roy in 1987. She married Roy in 1951. He has since pre-deceased her. As a young girl, she worked as a bookkeeper at a diaper service company. She and her husband opened their own glass and window business in Brooklyn, where she did bookkeeping and customer service. They worked side-by-side for many years, until they finally retired in 1995.
Antoinette was a hard-working, caring woman who put family first at all times. She was generous to a fault, and was always someone that you knew you could count on in a pinch. She loved the Jets and the Mets and Elvis and cooking meals for her family. And, of course, you could eat off the floors in her home. She was a simple woman, but simple in a good way. Little things made her happy. She didn’t need extravagances. Jewelry and fine clothes were never her thing. Just give her a comfortable house dress and grandchildren to cook for.
Antoinette is survived by her three children Anthony (Linda), Nancy, and Joseph, five grandchildren, Christopher (Karen), Roy (Suzanne), Lisa, Matthew, and Nicolette, and six great grandchildren, Justin, Thomas, Gianna, Vincent, Emma, and Ava. She is also survived by 3 sisters Josie, Mary, and Betty and her brother Tom.
