Catherine E. Kast

Catherine E. Kast passed away on October 3, 2021 at the age of 76. She was born September 17, 1945 in Queens, New York to Catherine and Raymond Bender.

Cathy was the beloved wife of the late John P. Kast. They began as high school sweethearts and had a loving marriage for over 45 years.  They raised three wonderful children together in their family home in Lynbrook, NY where they lived for over 45 years.  Cathy spent many years as a stay-at-home mom while her children were young before embarking on a 34-year journey in the insurance business.  She was able to relax and enjoy her retirement for the past 6 years.

 Cathy and John had many fun years of camping, enjoying the beach club, and spending time with their family and lifelong friends.  She had a love of all animals, especially cats and owls.

 Cathy was a much loved and cherished mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly. She was fortunate enough to spend quality time with all her grandchildren throughout the years, leaving them with many meaningful memories to remember her by.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Catherine and Raymond Bender and her late husband, John P. Kast.  She is survived by her daughter; Lisa Cappolino, sons; John and Brian Kast, daughter in-laws; Dawn and Elizabeth Kast, grandchildren; Nicole, Anthony, Haley, Ethan, Chloe, Klaudia, Synthia, and Tristyn.

As of May 19, 2021, visitor restrictions have been eliminated. We will continue to require of visitors the recommended social distancing of six feet and recommend the use of masks by unvaccinated guests. Individual family requests may require the wearing of masks by all visitors. In addition, we will maintain a reasonable amount of visitors in the building at any given time.
