Charles Kamps passed away on October 30, 2021 after a brief battle with Multiple Myeloma. Charles was born on August 13, 1951 in East Meadow, NY. Charlie was a gentle, caring and kind man who could quickly make anyone feel comfortable and relaxed. He had a quick wit and and most people remember him for his sense of humor. His passion for music began early in his life with his band practices in the basement of his childhood home. He was a proud alumnus of the
famous Woodstock Music Festival and he found great joy in playing his guitar. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren and he was fiercely proud of their accomplishments.
He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Francine just 15 months ago. They were true soulmates and Charlie lost a big part of himself when she died. In their house everyone felt welcomed and every holiday was filled with warmth, music,decorations and love.
He leaves behind his devoted son Jeffrey Migdalen and Jeff’s wife Erin and his beloved grandchildren Kate, Avery and Ryan. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Paradis and her husband Vince, his nieces Jen and her husband Kevin, Kelly and her husband Casey and Amy and her husband Boone.
