Eddie or Irish Ed was a Veteran and a hard worker for New York Telephone for 34 years. He was a son to Irene and Patrick Barry. Big brother to Joan and Rosemary. Uncle to Joseph, Lisa, Tommy, a Great uncle to Joseph, Alyssa, Jackie, Thomas, Nicholas, Lucy and Mikayla. He was a big Mets fan he would tell you “White home and Gray away.” He loved to have a catch in the yard, but you better catch with two hands! His license plates read Irish Ed he loved to play golf. He had stamped his golf ball with shamrocks. Always had a great sense of humor. He was our family’s Google back in the 70s when googled didn’t exist. If the family had a question at the dinner table that had no answer, we would call him and he would always know the answer. From the titanic engines to the gun that Al Capone carried in the 30s, he was our encyclopedia. He may have lived locally but he travelled the world. He will be forever loved by his family and friends and to all that had the privilege to know him. Xoxo
