As a Brooklyn native, Geri loved the home she shared with her parents John and Marie.
During her high school years Geri learned and then taught piano and was honored with a solo performance at Carnegie Hall. Wanting to stay close to home, Geri passed up a full scholarship to St. Johns University and attended Kingsborough Community College and continued to enjoy teaching piano. She later found a career at the Bank of New York and worked her way up to head teller. She left this career to raise her wonderful daughter Jeannine.
Anyone who came to know Geri knew they had found a friend who could be depended on in any circumstance; who always saw the better side of anyone (unless you had something bad to say about the Mets); and always enjoyed a good laugh. The beach, cooking, her friends and pets, and Fleetwood Mac are among some of Geri’s greatest joys.
We will miss Geri with all our hearts and know she is blessed with infinite love and peace among all of God's children.
“7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day”
