Grace Matonte

Grace Matonte was born on March 7, 1925 in Braintree, MA.  She was the beloved wife of Dominick who passed away in 1993, devoted mother of Doreen and Phyllis and grandmother to James Dominic who she adored.  Grace’s passion was being a housewife and she cherished cooking, sewing and caring for her family and her grandson in her Franklin Square home.  She was especially proud of James Dominic as he grew into a fine young gentleman serving in the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and graduating from Temple Medical School.  He married Maria Florian-Rodriquez in 2017 and they became parents 6 months ago to precious Olivia Rose, making Grace a great grandmother.  After Grace sold her home in Franklin Square, she moved into Noble House in Lynbrook.  She was a long time resident there and enjoyed all her wonderful neighbors.  She was cared for at home with her aides until she entered Meadowbrook Care Center in 2019 where she lived out her last years.  She will be laid to rest at Calverton where she will be reunited with her husband for all eternity.
