Jane Black

The smile, generosity and spirit of Jane Black will continue on in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched.  Jane passed away on Good Friday, March 29th 2024 ending a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by family and dear friends who will carry on her memory.

Jane was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 21st, 1952. She was a Brooklyn girl, attending Brooklyn college and becoming a prominent member of her sorority.  She found her soul mate in Marty Black. They were married on May 31st, 1975 and were blessed with the arrival of their son Terrence, three years later.

Jane brought light, order and beauty to her endeavors. She will be remembered for her generosity; for her ability to bring laughter and warmth to a room; for her love of good music, all things monogrammed, period pieces, and most of all for the ferocity by with which she loved her family and those friends whom she made her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband Marty, loving son Terrence and his wife Joelle, three beautiful grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and older sister Pat.
