Joseph P. Kellett

Joseph Kellett, a Korean War Veteran and retired NYPD officer, died at the age of 93 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. 

He was born in the Bronx to the late Margaret and Patrick Kellett. He had two sisters he adored, Margie and Irene. He met his late wife Joan on a blind double date and was happily married for 63 years. They were longtime residents of Lynbrook since 1960. He is survived by his four daughters, Patrice Kellett-Lynch (John), Jeanne Maher (Thomas), Maura Litt (Rich), Eileen Schoenhut (Jaime), 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Joe loved people. It didn't take long for him to get to know you before you were considered a dear friend. His kind heart made people feel loved and his humor brought many laughs. Joe will be terribly missed by all who knew him.
