Kenneth Hughes was born in The Bronx, New York on June 18, 1942 to Margaret and James Hughes.
Ken passed peacefully on Friday, July 21, with his family at his side. Ken was married to his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann (Foley) for 55 years. He is survived by his wife , Mary Ann, his 3 children, Brendan (Anne), Kieran (Heather) and Tara (deceased) and his grandchildren Enda, Eoghan, Vanessa, Eamon and Eva. He is also survived by his two brothers, Jimmy and Donald and his extended family.
Ken had a successful career on Wall Street for over 40 years as a Floor Broker and Stock Trader. Upon his retirement from Wall Street and after a short hiatus in retirement he worked with H2M as a Water Tester Technician.
Ken and his family have lived in Lynbrook for 44 years during this time he was involved in many local community activities. He loved his time coaching Little League Baseball and CYO Basketball. Mary Ann and Ken loved vacationing at Montauk where Ken also enjoyed his love of fishing. His love of fishing extended to Jones Beach when he was often known to go surfcasting twice a day.
Ken was a true gentleman who was known by many and loved by all who knew him.
