Margaret Auerbach

Margaret (Sugar) Auerbach of Lynbrook, NY passed away suddenly in her home on Saturday August 26th. Sugar was born in Winston Salem, NC on September 22nd, 1953. She graduated from St. Johns University with a bachelors in Education before marrying Michael and building the most beautiful family with a lifetime of memories together.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Joan and John Van Nostrand and the love of her life, Michael Auerbach.

Sugars memory will be forever cherished by her sister Joan Van Nostrand, sons Bryan (Meredith) Auerbach, John (Mary) Auerbach and her grandchildren and three greatest treasures Marissa, Nicholas and Lindsey Auerbach.

Sugar also leaves behind a very special friend Matty Valenza, nephew Scott Fisher, niece Lauren Fisher and a half brother Jack Van Nostrand, as well as a circle of extremely close friends who will miss her dearly.

Her energy and her smile would light up any room she stepped into, she enjoyed gardening and decorating and sharing a good meal with friends. Above all else she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Everyone saw her as kind, loving and the best friend anyone could ask for.

We thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support at this time.

Funeral services will be held at Flinch and Bruns in Lynbrook NY.

Visitation Friday September 1st from 2-4 and 7-9, eulogy from 8-9pm.

The family would like to welcome everyone back to Mary and Johns house Saturday to celebrate Sugars life from 12-4.
