Marie M. Guarino

Marie Guarino, formerly of Malverne, NY passed away peacefully on April 5, 2022.  Born June 20, 1945 to Marie O’Brien Schuellein and George Schuellein of Brooklyn, NY, Marie was the oldest of three children.  Marie spent her older childhood and teens years in Woodhaven, NY graduating from Franklin K. Lane High School in 1963.  Marie was introduced to Joseph Guarino by mutual friends and was married in September 1969.  Marie spent many years at the NY Telephone Company before moving the Malverne and having her daughter Jennifer. 

Marie enjoyed arts and crafts- crocheting and sewing, as well as ceramics, cake decorating and chocolate molding.  After retirement, Marie enjoyed caring for her two grandsons and bringing them to arts and crafts activities and treats.  Marie thrived on caring for others, leaving a lasting impression of being selfless and was amongst the kindest person her friends and acquaintances have ever met.   

Marie is survived by her brother Robert, sister LouAnn, daughter Jennifer and her two young grandsons.
