We asked people who knew Michael the question “what is the first word you think of when you hear his name?”  The answers given describe him perfectly. Funny. Goofy. Sarcastic. Prankster. Clever. Brilliant. Creative. Artist. Hungry. Brave. Warrior. 

He was all of these things, and so much more. An amazingly brilliant smile. An infectious laugh. A quick wit.  He loved his video games, especially Kingdom Hearts.  He loved Harry Potter, and the Titanic.  But oh, did he ever love food.  Sushi was his all time favorite.  It didn’t matter whether he got from a supermarket or the fanciest sushi restaurant, he was going to eat it.  Health conscious, always drinking his home-made ginger tea, or enjoying his “medical cannabis”.

Michael fought a hard, courageous fight against a vicious enemy.  He kept pushing, and trying, even though the odds were not in his favor.  He never gave up.  Kept creating until he could no longer.  He wanted to do so many things, taught himself how to create 3D videos, and he wanted to share all his knowledge with the world using Phaneron Resider. 

He is so loved by everyone who met him.  The world has lost a beautiful soul, and the sun shines a little dimmer.  We like to believe he is now watching over us, no more suffering, trying to find the best food the afterlife offers.  We’ll miss you, Michael.  Until we see you again.
