Peter Paul Amoruso, born December 18, 1937 and died in Manhasset, New York, October 15, 2020.
He is survived by his son Robert and his wife Dorothy, daughters Olimpia and Laura. His grandchildren Michael, Peter, Olimpia, Christian and Dean. Along with his sister Pauline, sister-in-law Nina, and countless nieces and nephews.
There is a saying, “to know him is to love him.” and that saying is the epitome of what people thought of when they thought of Peter. Whether they knew him as husband, father, brother, uncle, or friend; when they spoke of him, they would all say the same thing he was the best, a great guy, or a true gentleman. Though he was a man of few words his actions spoke louder than any words could. Anyone who had the chance to meet him either though business or pleasure knew within minutes they were dealing with someone extraordinary.
As the unofficial patriarch of the family, devoted husband to his wife Barbara for over 50 plus years, and the rock for his children and grandchildren; you knew that Peters heart laid always with his family first.
Though his family was a priority his work did not follow to far behind. Creating and maintaining a successful business and partnership for over 40 years that he held dear to is heart and was grateful for up until the day he left this earth. As with his passion for family and work, he also had a passion for bowling, cards, casinos, golfing, and of the opportunity to throw a good party. He along with his wife, were known for throwing the most amazing gatherings that many still hold dear to their hearts.
Though he is no longer with us, the legacy he has left behind leaves us all with something to be proud of, memories that will last our lifetimes, and with a small piece of our hearts altered forever.
