Robert J (Bob) LoCurto of Lynbrook, NY passed away suddenly on June 09, 2022, from complications due to a heart attack. A loving and dedicated husband, father, and poppy, Bob is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Susan Schechter, son-in-law Adam, granddaughter Shannon, and son Robert F.

Bob had an extremely successful career in engineering and construction that lasted 50 years after graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from New York Polytechnic Institute. He began work as an assistant engineer with EBASCO Services in New York, NY and rose through various project and operations leadership positions of associated legacy companies to an Operations Executive – Senior Vice President of Generation Services with United Engineers & Constructors of Mount Laurel, NJ. During his career, he was directly responsible for the design engineering, construction, and maintenance project services for major US electric power utilities infrastructure including four nuclear power plants.

Born in Richmond Hill, NY, Bob took his New York personality and drive with him during his travels around the United States and internationally. With his energetic and dynamic personality, Bob was detailed oriented and relentless in his personal and professional pursuits. He often shared his love of food and cooking, business ventures, and stock market investing with all those he encountered. His newest love was talking and playing with his beauty, Shannon, who is “so cute.”

Visitation will be at Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home in Lynbrook, NY on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 2:00 – 7:00 PM with a funeral mass held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 9:45 AM at Our Lady Peace R.C. Church in Lynbrook, NY. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bob’s name to the Our Lady Peace R.C. Church – Office of Parish Social Ministry.
