Selina Ann (Fish) Coghlan

Selina Ann Coghlan,. Age 78 of Dover, DE, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, and Lynbrook, NY passed away August 5, 2022 at Kent General Hospital, Dover, DE.  Selina was born February 19, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Patrick & Esther Fish.

Selina was a proud graduate of Franklin K. Lane High School in Brooklyn who enjoyed quilting, gardening, bird watching and spending time with family.  She was active in her faith as a devout Catholic, a member of The Third Order of Carmelites and a Eucharistic Minister.  For twelve years her and her husband served as a Special Court Appointed Advocates (CASA), through the Kent County Family Court, assisting children receive necessary care and legal representation.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Franklin Fish.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry Coghlan; her children, Harry (Jeanine) Coghlan, Selena (Raymond) Downs & Thomas (Ingrid) Coghlan; grandchildren, Mia, Christine, Angela, Noah, Katherine, Taylor, Conor, Brigid & Seamus, many nieces and nephews, her Godson, Jorge Blanco, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Church of the Holy Cross, Dover, DE.
