With an extremely heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Stewart FJ Pastor. Stewart was a friend to everyone and a stranger to no one. He deeply loved his family, friends, and his veteran community. As a proud dad of his two children, Carolyn and Joseph, it was common for Stewart to carefully plan his time around making sure that he was present for all of life’s moments to celebrate as well as be their champion, confidant, and protector during times of sadness. There was no shortage of his desire to be a teacher of his craft and took every opportunity to learn as much as he could about anything and everything. Stewart was the epitome of “go big or go home” whether it was when his children were younger and needed help with school projects or events, cheering from the sidelines making as much of a spectacle as he could, planning a simple road trip and turning it into an epic adventure, or how he famously would turn routine, mundane tasks into something everyone would suddenly find interesting to do. Particularly during the holiday season, Stewart would often go out of his way to donate to the Salvation Army and loved picking out cards, fulfilling wishes from the angel trees. Stewart would find humor in unexpected ways and you couldn’t help but to laugh, despite how serious of a situation. Known affectionally as “Pops” to his children, he will truly be missed beyond measure by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for consideration of sending a donation to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Stewart’s name.
