William G. Neilson

On the morning of January 20, 2023 William (Bill) G Neilson died at the age of 84.

William was born April 19,1938 to George and Eleanor Neilson. He grew up in the Bronx Ny and attended Saint Philip Neri School. He  joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 in 1955. William spent his childhood summers in Rockaway Beach and in 1958 made it his long term residence.

He later met his loving wife Maureen (Prochnow) and they were married February 12, 1961. Together they raised 3 children Donna, Kevin & Jackie.

William held many jobs through out his life, Arrow Exterminating being the the most recent & longest for over 40 years.

William was known to his family and friends for his great sense of humor and dedication to his family. He was known as Poppa to his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, they brought joy and happiness to his life.

William is preceded in death by his father George and mother Eleanor. He is survived by his wife Maureen, his 3 children Donna Donlin (Kevin), Kevin Neilson (Patrice), Jacqueline Kaufman (Edward), his 7 grandchildren Patrick, Kathy, Kevin, Brian, Timothy, Samantha, James, and his 1 great grandchild Maggie.

He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
