This past January my brother unexpectedly passed away. Not having anything planned ahead of time I was lost as what to do. I got in touch with John and Michael and they immediately put me at ease. They put together a beautiful service that was within my budget. I will be forever grateful for the compassion they showed myself and my family ❤️

This past year and a half saw the passing away of our dear parents in their 90's. Mom and dad were inseparable and the great pillars of our family. Since we knew dad was facing the end, we met with John for pre-planning advice. From our first get together we knew we were in great hands. This gave peace to the family in knowing when arrangements were needed, all would be well taken for, in honor, comfort, and support. Not too many months after dad passed, mom passed as well. John and his team again provided the extremely professional, honorable, compassionate and supportive care required in times like these. From the initial contact to the final setting of the headstone, which F & B helped to design in character of mom and dad's life, F & B provided the caring support in honor of mom and dad's amazing life together. Our entire family rate the services at Flinch & Bruns as being "far above expectations".

Words can not begin to express our gratitude for the professionalism and care expressed by all the staff (particularly Michael) while dealing with the loss of our father. We all know it is never easy to watch a loved one in hospice and Flinch and Bruns also left us with a beautiful vision of my father (the man we all adored and remembered prior to him withering away from us). The staff at Flinch and Bruns handled my mothers services with such care from start to finish. We were comforted knowing they accommodated every detail that mattered to us. They put together a slideshow of pictures which made one less thing to do during a moment of despair. They allowed us to put on a playlist of our mothers favorite music and display her artwork, allowing us to have a very personalized service honoring our mothers vivacity. John was very communicative every step of the way and we received personal phone calls from the point when my mother was picked up from the hospital morgue to when her body was driven past our home of 20+ years before going to crematorium. John and the staff are caring, compassionate, patient and knowledgeable. We are so appreciative that they went above and beyond during our time of grief, making a painful task seem bearable.

John and his team could not have been more helpful and understanding to my family during a sorrowful time. From the moment we contacted Flinch & Bruns John made us feel that everything would be taken of from
A to Z and beyond and it was.

On August 22, 2021 and after a life well lived over 97 years, we lost our beloved father and patriarch of our family, Jospeh R. Vassallo. He left behind a legacy of love and tradition that we will proudly carry on his name. Having a funeral director in our immediate family, we held high expectation that very detail of our dad's final farewell was executed flawlessly. John and Michael assured they would meet our expectation. From the inception of the process in making arrangements, to the visiting hours, services and burial , every detail of dads funeral was orchestrated with precision, timeliness and above all respect. My wife passed away recently and we live in another state. Her wishes were to be laid to rest in her home state of NY. I spoke to John and he guided me through what I needed to take care of on my end to get her prepared and shipped up to NY. He coordinated with the funeral home here. A few phone conversations with John and informational emails and everything was taken care of. John told me not to worry about anything and he would take care of it. The whole experience working with him was unbelievable. We had a short meeting when I arrived to finalize all the plans. Prayer cards, acknowledgement cards and mass readings and hymns were all done online per the links that he sent me. I cannot tell you how many friends and relatives came up to me and said how great everything turned out. They could not believe how I was able to get this done from long distance. Well, I have John and his staff to thank for that!!! In my time of grief, I cannot believe how easy John made this for me. I would highly recommend this facility.

Words cannot express or explain the outstanding service me and my family received from this incredible funeral home with understanding, caring and love. John sat with us and put a detailed plan for us. He explained it step-by-step and was very passionate about our loss. I have to say they delivered beyond our expectations. They did an outstanding job in preparing Mom. She was well put together. She looked so beautiful and did not look like a dead body. During the wake, they ensure that everyone practiced social distancing by keeping people informed and moving accordingly and sitting. The florist they recommended was also great and the flowers were beautiful. What a great experience we had at the funeral home with John, Michael and the staff. They did such a great job and received great feedback from family members on how beautiful and great Mom’s service was managed. What a great place to have a funeral service.
